MANAGE YOUR DENTAL LAB WITH THE POWER OF A MOBILE TABLET
DentaLab for QuickBooks Workflow Tablet App will track workflow in the lab for a variety of purposes in a convenient inexpensive way. You can choose to have it used by all or selected technicians. This will track workflow and how long procedures take to complete.
With a simple touch, you can indicate when a case item is started, paused or finished. The system will tally the time in minutes each item takes to complete and will record the technician, date and time. You can also simply search for cases, view their workflow, check their status.
Technician assignments
If a lab assigns a technician to a case item during case entry, the case item and scheduled date will become part of the technician's case assignment in the tablet app. The technician will first select from their assignments or from unassigned items in the work center.
Then with their finger or a stylus, the technician will signal when each case item has been started, if the work has been paused, when restarted, and when completed.
To acheive accuracy
To support their work, the technicians can check on case enclosures, case plans, case communications, preferences by item, perference by work center, electronic images scanned in the lab or sent by the dental office. When needed, they can also record technician notes about the case using the tablet's built-in keyboard.
Searching and tracking cases
Technician entries will be recorded in the DentaLab case records to provide an up-to-date tracking of the case movements. Authorized personnel can search for a case by entering the customer, the patient, or the case number to see the exact status of each case item. As you can see, it is very easy to find a case, view who has been working on it, if a case item has been started, if the work has been paused, if completed, if the case if following its schedule.
Management reviews and analysis
Those with manager level authority can check the master schedule for a specific work center or the weekly schedule which reviews all work centers. By selecting a specific date box, the details of the cases and case items can be reviewed. While tracking the movements of the case, the app is also taking timings on how long it takes to complete each item. From this, the manager can request a case item analysis to see the totals and averages.
